Your point of power is in this moment
ByHow many of us have heard the pundits and gurus say “you must live in the now!” I used to read that or hear it and say to myself, can I live any other freakin’ time? I just did not quite understand what it meant and quite frankly it was the same as so much of the spiritual double speak that can be so vague and confusing.
Until I started to study myself from a metaphysical perspective there were many spiritual concepts that were confusing to me. This was because so many spiritual concepts can be applied to physical life but they really transcend physical reality to our greater existence as a soul. But trying to understand the broader concepts is like trying to understand a story with only part of the information available to you. We can get locked in on the physical because it is what’s “real.”

Time is measured by a clock not you
Physical reality is really analogous to the clothing that covers a much deeper and broader existence. The concept of time is a physical camouflage that we get locked in on even with evidence to the contrary. You see time is actually relative to all of us. We can sense true time but we don’t usually realize what is happening. For example. If you are enjoying your self at an event mentally time just seems to “fly” by. you “feel” like it has been 30 minutes pass by but when you look at your watch it has been 2 hours. When you are in a place that you are bored and want to leave but can’t that same 30 minutes can “feel” like 2 hours. You keep looking at your watch and the hands seem to stand still! In actuality this is how your soul or inner being senses what we call time. It is always relative to our “feelings.” The only thing that makes us think it is “real” is the clock or watch that we use to measure time.
In our broader existence there is no such thing as past or future. Our broader being lives in the eternal moment of now. We create our physical futures based on how we handle the information we receive in the eternal moment of now.
On a practical level one of the ways to look at the eternal moment of now is to realize that in that moment everything is ok. In other words the past has already occurred and whatever you believe will happen in the future has not gotten here so just relax in that moment.
Stress is being fixated on something that is in the past or the future
We usually get stressed when we think and worry about past and future events. We bring those feelings and anxieties into that moment. But, when you are able to stop in that moment and be grateful a sense of calm will come over you. Don’t think about the past, don’t worry about the future because at that moment you are well. Allow yourself to be ok for that moment.
When you do consciously start to project into the future, do so purposefully. Imagine what you want it to be like when you have reached that projected point. Feel what it will be like. Expect it will be that way and have faith that it will come to pass. In that moment you have the power to create your reality. In the now is your present point of power. Being able to retreat to the now is what the pundits meant. It is calming. Now I understand.
From this present moment I can choose which future event that I wish to realize in my physical reality. In the present moment, I can choose to create the outcome. Most of the time we take a stance of trying to control an out. This is reactive. Right now in this moment there are endless possibilities that we can attract into our experience. Do you want to vibrate based on fear and dread or do you want to vibrate from a place of love and peace?
When you come to an understanding that the universe is a friendly place and all you have to do is simply find joy in the moment, you can then set your intention to create the outcome that you desire. You will attract it to you like a magnet.
When you are able to reach this state of peace and joy it is in that moment you ascend to the proverbial Heaven. Heaven is a state of mind not a place. It comes from within. You can not get to Heaven in a rocket ship or point to it and say there it is! This is what the Christ was stating in Luke 17:20-21.
Your point of power is in this moment. It always will be. To bemoan the past or fret about the future is the quickest way to squander your power. Create what you desire. See it, believe it! Have faith that it will transpire. Your power is NOW! In this moment you are powerful beyond belief. Claim it!
I await the mp3 of this wonderful article, smiles
Oh yes, the Now… I’m reading it in the moments… I say that because I don’t read things fast. There can be so much contained in one sentence and I want to get it all, so I let it marinate, let it soak in my desire to know the truth about all things… To live in the “Now” is one of the most beautiful things/feelings that one can and should experience every moment… What is it that causes one to slip in thought and fall back into the past? I know full well that when I allow thoughts of the past to enter I have one of two choices; either I think about the bad times, or, I think about the good times. Thinking about the bad times brings negative feelings/energy. Thinking about the good times brings positive feelings/energy. The same thing goes, for when I think about the future…
I believe that all has free will. I also believe that when one gives up that power one becomes a puppet with strings, not controlled by a “God”, yet by the ones who know the truth, but has turned it up-side-down in order to control the masses. Do you see what I see?
I have tried it…Over and over again… I have tried the Law Of Attraction, and… It did not change my physical condition… I’m still broke; I didn’t hit that lotto; Yet something did change… It happened on the inside of me… There was no physical evidence… There was nothing I could present to anyone as far as the five physical senses go. I know…I just know…It’s real…
Again, what is the ego? Or should I say; what is the Egoic Mind created self? Or is there such a thing?
Reginald Martin, the energy of truth that you have been putting out into the Cosmos is returning to you… You are on POINT… Don’t Stop…
Peace&Love

Darius, I feel you. Especially on the law of attraction thing. I was drawn into metaphysics by the movie the secret. It was absolutely a great awakening for me. That movie was absolutely a life changer for me. However, I knew that is was only very superficial. It made me ask many more questions. That movie and its contents was not the answer or the absolute truth. Unfortunately so many people will only skim the surface of things like the secret. The “law of attraction” does work and without fail. However, it is so much deeper than just positive thinking. What I now know is that what we attract is to our state of being, not just our thoughts. In order to change our state of being we have to go so much deeper than just what we are thinking. It is work for most of us. When we change our state of being is when our physical world changes. It is possible for it to happen in an instant. But our beliefs often times limit the process. Those beliefs can be symbolized by an onion. peal one layer off, and another layer is just underneath that you may not have realized. We are attracting all the time. It is law in the physical dimension. It is what we are working on in our physical incarnations.
The term ego is an arbitrary name for the filter of the physical dimension. Ego, subconscious, super conscious, is all names for the same thing. We experience all levels of consciousness through our intent. Intent directs all energy. All energy is conscious.
When you made the analogy about the onion, it drew dear to me. If that made any sense… The pealing away of the onion is unto what happened to me when I chose to step away from the Christian dogma… It took time and the releasing of layers upon layers of the BS that was laid upon me over many a years… When I say that I was raised in the Christian church… My mother’s daddy was a preacher, my daddy’s mother was the church mother… It wasn’t like I had a choice… It wasn’t until I came out from desert storm 91 that I sat in a church looking around and KNOWING deep inside of me that, this picture aint right, and in that moment, I spoke out to “God” and said this: I want to know the truth… About all things… This life has never been the same… and I love every moment… Love is life, and I love every moment of it… Peace&Love

Darius, trust me when I say I can feel you about the church. It was the only place my mother would get to on time. It used to make me so mad! lol! What I have not realized is that we all walk our spiritual journey at our own pace.
The Power of the Moment…
I had begun to wonder… How in layman terms could I express what it means to live in the moment… The Moment… I thought, what could I say, What example could I give that would allow even just one to understand… Well, this is what came to me…
The power of the moment…
There can be no power of the moment, if you have no concept of what a moment is…
Just sit back, don’t think about nothing… Just sit back, and look at all that there is around you…
