Your body will die, but the real you truly lives forever. Who or what is the real you?
By Reginald MartinI wrote recently about us being multi-dimensional beings. I talked about how the imagination is a link from our soul to the physical brain. Our physical brain is usually one of the major hindrances of the mind to express itself. Our ego is more comfortable with this physical dimension. We tend to think that what we sense, with our five senses, is reality. Science has ingrained this thought process into us. However, when we take that approach it limits us to the totality of our being. Our bodies will die, but our consciousness will not. Religion has always said we live eternally. If our bodies die then our consciousness has to be that which lives on.
Our consciousness is in our physical body but is able to leave it. Our consciousness leaves our physical body often. Does that thought freak you out? Are you Skeptical? When you sleep, the ego releases its hold on our consciousness. When we dream, we are actually moving into other parts of our multi-dimensional universe that we inhabit.
Just as many of us have thought of our imagination as not real, or make believe, the dream world is just as weird and fictional. We see our dreams as hallucinations because the things that we remember in our dreams can not compute in the physical world that we are used to. The physical world is not all that we inhabit. Science says that we live in an infinite number of parallel universes. And those are what we would term, “physical” universes. We also exist in an infinite number of dimensions. In our dreams we actually are visiting these places. What we view as make believe and unreal is simply another type of reality! I know it sounds crazy. It sounds that way because we limit our “real” experience to the five senses.
In your dreams you reach and are a part of realities that are so foreign and divorced from physical reality that all we can do is believe that it is silly hallucinations. We tend to believe that our physical body is the entire “me”. Consider that the real you is your soul and your physical body is a part of your soul and you can then start to understand the possibility of other realities. Often times the physical brain will translate your dream travels into something that the ego can comprehend. Even then it can seem like an incoherent mess of pictures and sounds that do not go together. When you sleep, you mind is liberated and unconfined. It travels, it explores the universe.
Your physical body is not dead when you sleep of course, but your mind/consciousness operates in the same manner as when your body dies. The environment of your dreams world is the same environment you will operate in when your body dies. Your body will die but your consciousness will not. You may be a little afraid of considering your physical death. Believe me I do understand. That is the way most of us are. We are that way because we view death as the annihilation of our being. For most of us our physical body is all there is to our existence. In reality of course death of our bodies is not the end of us. You are already familiar with the concept.
Jesus says in John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.”
Of course Jesus meant he who believes what he is teaching. Its just that the concept has come to most of us in a religious context in the form of our spirit or soul being saved and going to heaven or hell. Irrespective of the religion, and how it views the rewards and punishments for believing in it doctrines, we are immortal. We, our consciousness, live forever. When you learn to operate in your dreams, you will be teaching yourself to operate in your true mode.
Don’t be afraid to step outside that religious box. I hope that you will consider my thoughts on this subject and not just turn off and shut down do to fear. On a deeper level you already know. If you just feel what I am saying rather than simply intellectualizing it then you may feel that “knowing”. Have you ever felt that? Have you ever felt like you come across something new but you know, that you know? Or have you been in a situation that is uncomfortable and you just know that you need to remove yourself, but not sure why? It is times like these that you operate outside of your five senses. Its times like these that you are in contact with your true being. You have already been outside the box. Now you simply need to understand and recognize when you are outside the box. Don’t think it, know it, and remember it. You are a soul living a human experience. It’s time for you to allow your soul to operate through you, not in spite of you.
When you dream, you are operating more like the real you. A big part of the real you is non-physical. Your imagination and your consciousness is your true connection to God. This is the image of God that we are created in. You are eternal. What I know is that you know, that you know.
Are you a brave soul?

Hi Kevin, thanks for stopping by. I understand that you may not agree with all the things that I write about. But that’s ok. However, if it does get you to consider the possibilities then I am ok with that.
I too believe that there is another realm beyond this one – how can there not be. I have flash backs of being in my mothers tummy. People will find this odd, but I somehow know that it is not a made up memory or a dream. I asked my mum several questions about my flashbacks and she has confirmed them to be true, but said that I would be too young to remember such things. Like my nursery wallpaper, that was apparently changed way before my 2nd birthday. Certain cot toys and also my version of events from inside the womb does fit with my birth. I dont know what dreams are – they’re weird sometimes I know that! Speaking of dreams – I dont know what they are, but I remember 1 dream inparticular – I was getting burgled and the burgular put a gun to my throat and shot me. I felt the heat of the bullet and felt like I was gasping through my neck rather than my mouth. I woke up with a dark red hot rash all around my throat. Weird, but dont know if its just a body reaction or what?
