What Are We, Flesh and Bones or The Most Powerful Force In The Universe?

By

The answer to the question what are we can take on many implications depending on who you talk to and when you talk to them. I would think that it is safe to say that most of mankind’s view of who we are as human beings is a pile of flesh and bones. Meaning if one inspects the human body once we get down deep all we are is the cells and organs that compose us. When we die that is the end of who we are. How has it come to this thought process for modern man. Since the dawn of civilization man has believed that our body is not the whole of our being. In ancient Egypt elaborate rituals were performed over a corpse to prepare another part of that being for a journey into other realms of existence. Most religions have said that there is life after death. However, the religious believe that eternal life is a reward for following the rules. But in modern times since the advent of the scientific age the concept of our being has been narrowed. The scientific view of what we are has been the ideal. It had been the ideal until the fairly recently. Now it seems that science is starting to prove concepts that have been the bastion of religion and philosophy. The concept of what we are is starting to expand.

So what are we? Contemplate that question for a moment. It is a question so short and simple yet profound in the implications that can arise from the attempt to answer it. The fact is we know the answer. We can feel our entire being at moments of pure elation, or quiet contemplation. We can feel the connection of the masses in a stadium full of cheers and our own connection in a blissful moment of joyful tears. We can waterfalllgconnect in the moment of ecstasy when we feel the energy of our being explode and move through us with a passion and pleasure so grand, afterwards we can hardly stand. It is in those moments that we are focused in the now, we know what and who we are and how. In those moments and ones like them we are, as free as a bird and as magnificent as a star. So what are we? a soul is who we are.

Yes, we are a soul. It is not something that we have. It is what we are. We are eternal. We live forever. It is not a reward or anything that we can lose.

“The soul or entity is itself the most highly motivated, most highly energized, and most potent consciousness-unit known in ANY universe.”
Seth, “Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of The Soul”

You are only one manifestation of your soul. Many of us take an egocentric view of our existence. Man has done this for centuries. Remember when it was said that the sun revolved around the earth? Mankind tends to view its existence as a psychologically undeveloped child. Most four year olds can play a game of hide and seek. When they want to hide they can simply cover their eyes with their hands. From a four year olds perspective when they can’t see you then you can’t see them, they have hidden. In a four year olds world their perspective is all there is. They can not consider the world from another’s perspective. Mankind in many ways is still like four year olds. We view our existence egocentrically. Many of us we believe that our physical existence in the universe is all there is to the universe. Our ego is the equivalent of the hands over the eyes of the four year old. Another part of us knows so much more. It can give us a much broader perspective. This is the larger concept that many religious teachers have been trying to explain; that our human form is only a very small part of who we are.

Consider this, your personality as you know and identify with is a part of the larger you. Your personality is your soul coming through. Your personality will never be lost, subjugated or annihilated when your physical body dies. It is a part of you (the soul) that will exist eternally and keep asking the why’s.

Your personality will grow and develop in this lifetime and in many more lifetimes. Your experiences will be remembered. All that you learn will be remembered. Believe it our not every life that you have ever lived you have access to your memory banks. They are encoded in your DNA. Your Human DNA is not just three dimensional. Your DNA is multi-dimensional. You should start to consider your total being. You are more than flesh and bones. Your personality will be yours forever.

Often times you have communication with your entire being. Your past lives can give you information as well as your future lives. As a soul your past present and future lives are learning through experience. Often times those parts of you are learning the same lessons but with different stimuli. One part of you can experience learning and pass it on to you. Often times this is done through the dream state, whether you are conscious of it or not.

At any point in time you have an infinite number of probabilities or roads that your lives can take. Since this is not a closed system of communication messages can flow back and forth. This is where it is important to understand the laws of the universe. The messages that you receive in your awareness will be relevant to the needs you have at this point in time. In other words you will attract the information that you need to help you with the issues you are going through. You have a tone or vibration at any point in time and attract the information that you vibrate with. This is somewhat simplistic but gives you an idea of how the laws work on a grander scale. Not just in the physical. not just positive thinking.

The laws of the universe are truly universal. Because most of us have a limited view of who we are we only see the laws from a physical or human perspective. We are energy. The laws are about how to move, construct and manipulate energy not just matter. Energy forms ALL matter.

We will explore more on the nature of our being. Are you open to explore? Are you strong enough to validate your personal experience for yourself? What are you? I hope you can recognize that you are a soul.

Are you a brave soul?

  1. Reginaldc, I love how you explain the difference between us being a soul, rather than having one. We are eternal beings, we are energy, having life experiences. Looking at it from this broader perspective, makes one accept current life events with a more peaceful mindset, as it is just one of the many lives we have had, and that we’ll have.

Palma, i believe that once we as humans start viewing the world from a perspective of having infinite resources within an eternal existence it will change how we view ourselves. Wars are started and fought by people that believe they have to take something or keep something that another wants. When we all can understand that we are creators, everything is energy and we have an infinite amount of energy in which to create from this world will be so awesome! People will give because they know they can never run out of anything. What a wonderful world it will be. That phrase sounds familiar. :)

  2. Reginaldc, I agree completely with this. Conflict arises from a scarcity consciousness, in the belief that resources are limited. Once we realize that we can access an infinite energy stream, we will feel the abundance that is there for everyone. What a wonderful world indeed! :-)
