The truth about the universal laws and religious dogma, laws one thru three exposed and explained Pt. 1

By

We hear much conversation about the universal laws. But when you really think about it we only hear about the LAW of Attraction in any depth. In actuality it is not a universal law. It is a composite of 3 of the universal laws. I have explained two of them in previous post. The third component is the gender principle that is associated with the Law of Attraction and any other component of the universe. I will get into a little more detail about that later. I am the type of person when interested in a subject has to really go in depth with it. This applied to the universal laws. I wanted to know how many laws were there and how did they work.

The LOA was such a powerful concept I figured that knowing and understanding the other laws would be helpful. Leaning about them opened up an entirely new way of thinking and understanding our world. It also made me realize what religious teachers were attempting to teach us and that it was more than right, wrong, sin, heaven and hell. Learning about the universal laws also made me understand that we have an existence in more than a physical body. A law is universal because it works in any area of creation, whether it be mental, physical, spiritual. The laws work whether we are talking about energy, matter, chemicals or human beings. The law could be applied on all planes of existence in the universe. That’s why they are called Universal Laws. The Law of attraction is the tip of the iceberg.

Many years before any world religions were established a philosophical teaching came out of Egypt. It was taught by a man called Hermes Trismegistus. He was known by the ancient Egyptians as “THE GREAT GREAT” and “MASTER OF MASTERS”. The name Trismegistus is Greek and means thrice great. His teachings are what any of the world religions are based on. They were later put in writing in a book called the Kybalion. You can throneunderstand the esoteric meaning of many of the religions once you know these principles. Understanding these principles will allow you to know that much of the negative and separatist doctrine taught by religions is really a device to keep the masses in fear and ignorance of who we truly are.

According to the Kybalion and hermetic philosophy, there are seven universal laws or principle. They are as follows:
1. The principle of Mentalism
2. The principle of Correspondence
3. The principle of Vibration
4. The principle of Polarity
5. The principle of Rhythm
6. The principle of Cause and Effect
7. The principle of Gender

Today we will focus on the first 3, when you understand these 7 Laws or principles you can then understand how the universe works from the smallest wave of energy to the highest level of existence on any plane. Understanding how these principles work on the physical plane can help you on this plane when creating your world. Any one that has heard of the law of attraction knows about the principles of vibration and Cause and Effect. So I will not go into detail on them. The others I will give you a quick overview on.

The first principle is the Law of Mentalism. This principle states that everything that exists in the universe is a mental phenomenon. In other words, anything in the universe is a creation from the mind. The mind is a constantly expanding consciousness. The universe and everything in it was created from the mind of THE ALL (GOD). On a physical level we can understand this principle simply by looking at anything that has been created by man. An architect creates a building in his mind before he ever puts it on a blue print and the building is constructed. On a philosophical level anything we see is a creation of our mind. Think about this. If you are sitting in a room, are you in the room or is the room in you? In other words, did you construct the reality that you perceive? Science says yes to this question. You may have to ponder this one for a while, but that’s ok.The universe is mental.

The second principle is the Law of Correspondence. This law says that there is a correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of Being and Life. The old Hermetic axiom ran in these words: “As above, so below; as below, so above.” And the grasping of this Principle gives us the means of solving many paradoxes, and hidden secrets of Nature. There are planes beyond our knowing and understanding, but when we apply the Principle of Correspondence to them we are able to understand much that would otherwise be unknowable to us.

The law of correspondence is illustrated in the scripture below:

John 14:20 Jesus states On that day you will realize that I am in the Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

This is Jesus simply stating the law of correspondence, as above so, so below. In other words we are all part of the one. Just as Jesus is part of God so are we all. Religion wants to make Jesus something different than human, or any of us. He was not and he was stating so. I wrote in my article Jesus was the first new age guru that he stated to the disciples he spoke figuratively to them. In the New International Version bible John 16:25 Jesus says, “Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.” If his words were not to be taken literal then we have to get the esoteric meaning from them and understand that his words have a deeper meaning than what they say about our physical existence.

The law of correspondence says that all laws should work on any plane to be truly universal. Understanding this law really helped me move away from religious dogma. For example, religious dogma has painted a picture of God as an angry, vengeful God. Anger is an animalistic emotion. It can only be applicable in the animal world. An atom can not get angry. A rock can not get angry. Energy can not get angry. God is not human so how can he/it get angry and be vengeful? Emotions do not correspond or work on any level except our physical world and specifically to animals. The axiom as above, so below, as below, so above does not apply to emotions and God. Egotistically we want to make God like man but he can’t be like us. I doubt that we would really want God to be like us. Learn and understand this principle and a whole new world of thought is yours.

The third principle is Law of Vibration. I think we all have gotten the understanding that everything in the universe vibrates so I will not go into any detail here. I have also explained It in other articles and with other scripture. Science has also confirmed that everything vibrates. I don’t want to make this a book, just an article that will get you to do a little more searching on your own when you are ready.

Understand that our world, the physical world, is built on other aspects of the universe. We are multidimensional beings. Learning how the laws of the universe apply will aid you in operating in all aspects of your being not just the physical. You are a soul having a human experience. In order for our world to develop and move to a higher plane we have to learn about the existence of those planes and what it means to be a part of them. We can not continue to allow fear and superstition to keep our consciousness boxed into physical reality. There are other realities just as valid as this one that are not physical. Do you want to explore? You have to be brave and adventurous. :)

Are you a brave soul?

  2. Reginaldc,

This is utterly interesting. It’s wonderful that you explain all the Laws in a sequence, it makes it easier to understand them properly. Sometimes we hear of a Law here and there, but it is scattered information. It’s great to see the bigger picture at once!

I learned about the Law of Correspondence during my macrobiotic studies, though we didn’t use that term. Instead of “As above, so below”, we referred to it as “The macrocosm is in the microcosm”. What happens on a larger scale, is mirrored in the smallest. For example, an atom, with the orbiting protons, is a mirror of the solar system.

“An atom can not get angry.” – So profoundly true. I love it! :-)

Hi Palma, i’m glad you enjoyed the article. The Law of correspondence can really allow a person to understand the universe philosophically. So many people apply the term universal law without considering if it is universal. Often times it my be universal to the human experience but nothing more. The way I check the universality of something is the way I did in my post. Can it apply to an atom, a rock, a planet or a star? IF it does not fit with everything from the smallest to the largest or to the mental and the spiritual it is not universal.

  3. [...] One of the laws of the universe that helps me shift through contradictory thought patterns and beliefs is the Kemetic law of correspondence from the Kybalion. I previously wrote on the seven universal principles or laws of the Kybalion in a two part post. Which was titled “the truth about universal laws and religious dogma.” [...]

You are right about the Law of Correspondence. I am very glad I took the time to study more universal laws than the law of attraction. It helped answer many questions for me. It really does help us understand how energy works and how we truly create our reality.

BTW – Had some computer problems. Be in touch very soon via email.

    Hi Carmelita,
I agree that understanding what all the laws are is really helpful. I had so many questions answered for me when learning the universal laws. They also make you ask a lot more questions too. :)

    Hello,
I am in the process of trying to understand universal law and find it very interesting. I was directed by someone to look into Jerry and Ester Hicks book: The law of attraction:teachings of Abraham, or something like that, when I began looking into them I found something a little off, not to mention Jerry Hicks now has cancer which contradicts what they teach. Would you be able to explain what the difference in what is being taught by the “new age” movement and these laws, also what is the connection to “activating” your chakras. I am confused and do not want to get mixed up in something that is meant to deceive. I greatly appreciate any help you can offer.

Hello Ivy, You ask some really good questions. I do enjoy Ester Hicks and Abraham teachings. There are certain aspects of Universal Law they explain so elegant and with simplicity that I love. They way I would define “Universal Law” is the idea that their are certain aspects of our existence that are constant and unchanging. For a law to be Universal means that it works the same on any plane of existence, be that mental physical or spiritual. The Term Law of Attraction is simply a way to explain certain aspects of Universal Law. It is only different in how they teach it. After much study and personal revelations I have come to understand much deeper aspects of what Abraham calls the Law of Attraction. What they teach is quite valid. They have simply found a way to teach others about Universal Law that simplifies how the laws work.

For me New age is a term that lumps many types of spiritual teachings under one umbrella. The Universal Laws and metaphysics can be concepts taught under this new age umbrella. What I have found is that different people approach the teaching and what they learn from different perspectives. Personally I enjoy learning from many different aspects because it gives me a way to understand things from different perspective and allows for a deeper understanding. I enjoy Channels such as Abraham, Bashar, Kryon, Mrs P., Seth and a few others. All of them approach “new age” teachings from there own perspectives but I find a consistency in the aspects they teach when universal law is applied.

One of the best things I learned was to trust my own ability to decern what is right for me. Don’t fear treading into the “new age” metaphysical waters. If it feels ok to you move forward. If it does not, drop it and leave it alone. Follow what excites you. That will make it fun and you will get so many aha moments and revelation that life will become magical in so many ways. You can not be deceived when you follow your heart and trust what is true for you. This is very subjective. No one has all the answers and the best answers are the ones that you arrive at through your own experience.

A Chakra is an energy vortex within our etheric body. Through the Chakras we transmute energy through our physical bodies. Activating a Chakra can mean many different things. But the basic idea is you learn to allow energy to flow through your Chakras. It can be very subtle but powerful.

They way they are connected with the Universal Laws is this, Everything in the Universe is energy at its most basic level. Understanding the Universal Laws Allows us to learn how to use energy. Not just on a physical level but on a metaphysical level. The Chakras are a way to understand how the energy is flowing through our bodies. An energy block can register as cancer or any sickness for that matter. Illness is simply allowing negative energy to stay trapped in the etheric and physical body. I know this on an intellectual level but I still have my lessons to work through while in the physical. I say this because Jerry Hicks may teach, but it does not mean he has learned all of the lessons he has come here to learn. Being human he can still get sick. We all can. His energy may be blocked in a certain area of his body and life. Mines could be elsewhere. It is all part of the learning process. This may be what he needs to start working on his lesson, or it may be the way he chooses to exit physical reality. I don’t have the answer for him, I am just offering a possibility. I hope I have been helpful. If I can clarify anything for you I would be happy to do so.
