Hi Evita
Thank you for the compliment. It sounds like a great pact that you and your husband made. it is such a wonderful idea to recognize each day as a gift. One of the things I like to do to keep expanding is to learn something new everyday. No matter how small or seemingly insignificant it may be it adds to my expanding consciousness. The lessons can come from the darnedest places. When I was a school teacher I learned so much from my children. It was awesome!

I agree with you that a focus on material things can blind you. Just like anything there has to be a balance. Everything and everyone in the universe seeks that balance. How we get there is what life and spirit is all about.

Hi Reginald

You have a great way of making people think and rise to be their highest selves - I really resonate with that.

I can second the claim when you say that when we look back we were the happiest when we experienced something new - or just plain had an experience.

This has been a big focus for me lately. As of a year or even more ago, my husband and I stopped the whole "gifts" thing for b-days and other occasions. Aside from celebrating each day not just one, we realized that material things just come and go, but it is the experiences that truly build us. So today if we want to "treat" ourselves or give a gift - we look for new experiences to expand our being.

So yes, I so feel and know that there is so much more to life than what our basic five senses pick up, so much more....
