Heaven is not a destination
By Reginald MartinIt has been a while sense I have written on my blog. When I started my blog I had just started a chapter in my life that was one ripe with lessons. It was the start of one of the most difficult times in my life. Many of my articles are truly about my journey. I know that there are others that are going through many of the same challenges as I do have been through. My gift to share with the world is my ability to understand complex information and simplify it in plain everyday language and experience.
Before this chapter in my life started I had read and studied many things on metaphysics. I had intellectualized so much information. Much of it was complex or so far removed from my previous beliefs and understanding of my life and world that it took a great leap of faith to believe it.
For me it is important that I get information from different sources. My faith can be strengthened when two or more unrelated sources confirm a concept that I have intellectualized. I am a skeptic by nature. I can say that walking by faith has not always been a strength of mine. However, coming through this difficult period in my life has taught me many lessons and confirmed so much information that I had only intellectualized before. I am still learning. I am still intellectualizing much. But even with intellectualizing I have learned how to allow my higher self to come through and accept what I KNOW.
Realizations
I have realized that my brain cannot and will not ever understand many of the concepts and experiences of my soul. When a person understands or KNOWS a concept without the ability to explain it is when they are in touch with their higher self. It is your soul that you are allowing to come through. I have learned to accept this KNOWING in that moment. I can later try in understand it. When I understand it I can then try and explain it. Often times I can start to understand it when someone asks me a question. Through teaching them I can understand it intellectually.
Through the most difficult trials in my life, this is what I now KNOW. God’s love is real and I cannot fail or fall. I have the power to create my world as I wish. The only limitation is ME. I now truly understand what the Christ meant when he stated in
John 14:11 “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; Or at least believe in the evidence of the miracles themselves.”
I now KNOW that God is in me. I KNOW that God permeates all of creation and that I am a part of that creation. Through the God that is in me, as he was in the Christ, I was able to perform and create miracles in my life. I have learned that the love of God and fear cannot exist in the same place. When I allow fear to enter into my being, I am forgetting that the “Father” loves me and with that love in me I cannot fail or falter. This I KNOW and have witnessed through the “evidence of the miracles themselves!”
Consciousness is not static or easily defined
Through these experiences I now have an understanding of the esoteric concepts of the Third Dimension, the Fourth Dimension and ascension. Many may ask, what is this Third and Fourth Dimension and ascension? In this respect Dimensions are not physical places. They are states of mind in a physical sense, or states of consciousness in a much broader metaphysical sense. Our consciousness operates in different dimensions or states at all times. One that is easy for us to differentiate is when we dream. But even when we are awake, our consciousness shifts.
Have you ever caught yourself day dreaming? Did you know you were in a different state of consciousness at that time? Have you have had someone tell you that they had to call your name two or three times to get your attention when you were focused on a book, a video game, or maybe television? All of these are shifts in consciousness that we are familiar with but may be unaware of what is occurring. They can all be termed states of consciousness or different dimensions if you will. There is no distinct line of demarcation accept what we decide on and label. They are arbitrary. Our consciousness is always flowing and moving in and out of different states constantly.
The Third Dimensional state of consciousness
The Third Dimension is a state of mind in which we operate in fear and hold on to the illusion of being separate from creation and God being outside of us and in control of. In this state of mind we hold on to concepts of poverty, racism, sexism and all the ism’s that produces a concept of division among the human race and nature. The Third Dimension is that of duality and polar opposites such as, good and evil, light and dark. The Third dimension is a state of mind that causes us to judge others based solely on our limited experience.
We see the evidence of this type of consciousness in the media, daily. It is us being shackled by fear. It is the idea that our world and our existence is one of lack, limitation and deficiency. Most of our world operates in this dimension the majority of the time. It is a state of feeling separate from and outside of creation. When one is unaware of its state of grace fear can take up residence inside this consciousness. When we see lack and limitation we fight over what we believe is a finite resource. This type consciousness manifests itself in many ways. It is a low vibrational state.
What is Ascension?
If you grew up Christian, as I did, you have heard about ascension. You may think of it in terms of when Christ ascended into heaven. You think of it in terms of a person dying and going to heaven. If you are Christian allow me to interject and have you consider a deeper meaning of this biblical concept. Christ and many of his teachings had so much more of a depth than what many of us were taught. Here is what I mean:
Christ said in John 16:25 “Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.”
Christ spoke to the people of that time on a level they could comprehend and understand. He would say it a certain way in public and then explain the meaning to his disciples. It is time for us all to stop getting lost in the words and traps of control, limitation and dogma to connect to the deeper meanings he taught. We can then connect to a vast reservoir of knowledge and comprehension that is rightfully ours as the human race. The Christ understood at a level that we will never understand if you get lost in the dogma. Listen to the words of the master teacher when he stated in
Luke 17:20-21: “The kingdom of heaven does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, here it is, or There it is, because the kingdom of God is within you.”
Heaven is not a place, but a state of mind or a state of consciousness that resides in each of us. It is personal and unique to each of us. When we are feeling good we are at a high vibration. When we raise our vibration, we ascend.
When we KNOW God smiles on us
When one can operate or vibrate KNOWING that the love of God is in them and protecting them, it is a beautiful feeling and they will have ascended. When one is joyful and uplifted we raise our vibration or ascend. When you no longer are shackled by separateness and fear you have raised your vibration and ascended into the Fourth Dimension. The Fourth Dimension is when you have reached the state of mind of being one with God and all his creation. You are at peace.
You have ascended when you can move through life KNOWING that all is well and “The Father” gives you the strength to conquer and master any trial. You have ascended when you know that all things happen for your greater good even though at that moment it may not be judged good by you. When you are loving, lighthearted, joyful you automatically raise your vibration or ascend. Here is the kicker, we move into and out of the Fourth Dimension constantly. When we change our state of mind and operate from a place of love and joy we are operating in the Fourth Dimension. It is not marked by death, or bells, or angels manifesting in front of you. It is a state of consciousness. It is mobile and changing as is the nature of consciousness. It has always been that way and it will always be that way.
I will state again. Heaven is not a place or a destination. It is a state of mind.
You reach heaven when you are at peace. You reach heaven when you are joyful. You carve out your own little slice of heaven when you can appreciate the unconditional love of God that flows through you. You reach heaven when you know that all is well and will always be. In that state you have raised your vibration or ascended.
It is a state of mind. “It will not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, Here it is, or There it is…” It is all within you. It is how you choose to perceive the world. It is when you decide to raise your vibration. You decide to ascend. Not when something or someone judges you as being worthy to go to heaven. It is personal.
When you are sad, fearful and full of anxiety about your life, your family and the world it is then you stay in the Third Dimensional consciousness. You choose to observe your world from this perspective. It is inside you. It is personal.
We are souls having a human experience
We are souls in physical form. We are perfectly human which means we are not perfect. There are many times that I do operate in the third dimensional consciousness. There are times that I get fearful and angry. This past year has brought me many opportunities come face to face with my creations. I KNOW my world around me is a reflection of what is occurring within me. I have learned to recognize when I am in a low vibrational state and make a choice to raise it. I do this in any number of ways. I also recognize that my life is a journey not a destination.
With this recognition, I could step back and view my life from the perspective of my soul. During difficult times I would ask myself, what is the lesson? At that point I had to find the silver lining in that cloud or accentuate the positive. I had to raise my vibration and ascend to the dimension of KNOWING that all is well and through the spirit of God in me I would prevail. That is the power of positive thinking and faith. It has carried me through some difficult times.
When I am sitting in Barnes and Noble enjoying a frappuccino and books, I am then vibrating in the Fourth Dimension. It is a place that brings me joy and contentment. It is my little slice of heaven. What is it that brings you joy and contentment? Still trying to figure that out? Believe that no one can find that out for you. You will need to go within. It is where your slice of heaven is. It all is a state of mind. It is the words of The Christ, the master teacher. Heaven is not a destination. It is a state of mind. It is personal. KNOW that you are the creator of your life and all it entails. You are powerful beyond belief! We are all sons and daughters of God. A master teacher said so over 2000 years ago.

Woah! I just started reading your articles and can not stop. They are astounding, you really need to get this information out there a little more. It just makes sooooooooo much sense, AMAZING, especially to someone like me who was pretty much ready to leave the Christian faith, mainly because how I was taught and what I had learned DIDN’T make sense, wasn’t working, didn’t make me feel any closer to God, partially ruined my life, and I had just about had it. Seriously, you could probably help a lot of people who are in my boat.

@Amazed,
Hey I do appreciate the compliment and I am glad that my writing resonates with you.

Not only resonate but liberate. So many years in a mainstream and highly evangelical Christian church and believing every word of it. It is easy to see why people leave and wind up becoming completely anti-Christian. Imagine what that can do to a person, living in fear every day that their family is going to go to hell because you can’t get them saved. That’s just one example. I mean it’s bad. On my journey OUT of the church, looking for new answers, I started reading up a little about LOA and other things so I have some understanding what you are talking about. It is very nice that you put what Christ taught in the proper perspective of what it REALLY meant as opposed to what they teach in a church. I see the value of those teachings when properly understood, so perhaps I don’t have to chuck everything out the window, but let the journey begin again. Who knows how everything got so distorted.

My friend trust me when I say I can identify with your story. What I learned is that what is taught in Christianity is not the teaching of Jesus. It is the teachings of Paul. Jesus had a much deeper message. It was not one of separation. Religion is simply about control, not liberation. It keeps people locked in fear. Fear of going to a totally illogical concept of Hell. Spirituality and religion are not the same thing. I consider myself spiritual and recognizing the oneness of all. Jesus was a great teacher. He was not Christian. He never said he was God personified. The Catholic Church made that up. I could go on and on. But I can say to you that it is not necessary to scrap the teaching of Jesus. Just the fear and Dogma of the religion. His teaching were metaphysical, that is why LOA and his teachings are not mutually exclusive. Thank you for taking the time to comment. you are welcome anytime.
