Simple Keys to Understanding The Figurative Language of Jesus

By

The concepts are simple but will be disturbing to the religious people of today. Disturbing because many of the concepts, that Jesus taught, would be destructive to organized religion. Jesus taught a universal concept of man being part of the creator not separate from it and that we ALL are unified.

John 17:21-23, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

He taught that we were all the same in this universal connection. No one was above or below another. The teacher is as the student.

John 13:15-16 15I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

He taught that he was flesh just as we are and that he was a god, just as we are.

John 10:33-38 33″We are not stoning you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” 34Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are god’s? 35If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken— 36what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’? 37Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. 38But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”

The Pharisees (religious types) did not like that concept then, of us all being gods, and they don’t like it today. The religious type crucified Jesus then and they would do it again today because they do not understand the depth of his teachings. The concept that we are created in the image of God (source) only seems to imply the physical for the deeply religious. How can we think so limited when God (source) is not physical at all? Is the image in a mirror all of you? Of course not! What you experience with your 5 senses is not all there is to the universe. A mirror is a translation of your being. Your 5 senses are a translation of your connection to a vibrating, energetic and loving source for us all.

These are so you may understand for yourself and then take the knowledge and learn more. Not just from the bible, but from many other sources. Human kind is created in the image of the source. That implies we have all the power of the source in our world and the ability to tap into that source (God, the universe) at will. Jesus said as much;

Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

A few simple Keys:
1.“The Father” is meant as source not a man or being that we answer to.

2.“The kingdom of God” is a state of mind, not a place called heaven.

3.“I am in you, you are in me… I in them and you in me.” We are all connected to God (source) and Just as Jesus God (source) is in all of us. Jesus never meant he was any more special than any of us.

4.“No servant is greater than his master, nor a messenger greater than the one who sent him.” Jesus simply meant he was a servant of the source, just as we all are.

The bible is of course made of many different writings. There are many books that were left out of the bible simply because they did not serve the purpose of the men in power at that time. Make no mistake, the bible was not put together for the good of mankind. The book has been used as a tool for control for centuries. It is time we wean ourselves from this control and take the knowledge and dive into the depth of our being. We must learn to swim in the universal ocean of consciousness.

Come on in! its not scary and you can’t drown.

Are you a brave soul?
