How to control your thoughts, or can you?
ByAre you a person that is starting to come to the belief that you are the creator of your reality? Have you heard over and over that your thoughts are creating the reality that you have now? Do you get to the point that you don’t want to think because you fear thinking the “wrong” thing? Do you think something and then say to yourself, oh no I want that thought back because I don’t want it to manifest? Maybe you wish thoughts could be like a long spaghetti noodle that you could just slurp back up when gets out. I am visualizing a plate of spaghetti and you leaning over it slurping the noodles.
Well have no fear, there is a way for you to monitor your thoughts. I will give you a very simple technique that you can use to know your Pervading thoughts at any time and change them if you wish.
How many thoughts per day?
Let’s pretend you have four thoughts thoughts every second and you sleep 8 hours each night. That equates to 240 thoughts per minute, 14,400 thoughts per hour and 230,000 thoughts per day! The truth of the matter is that it is probably more than that. You think in pictures, words, feelings, sounds and they can all come together to produce memories of something that you think might happen in the future and any combination of the past, present and future. It can be mind boggling to believe that you can “control” thoughts at any time.
Thoughts operate based on universal laws as do anything else. Believe it or not thoughts are attracted to each other. (Thinking about one thoughts pickup line to another, “come here often?”)
They have there own vibrations and therefore will attract others that vibrate in harmony with them. It is the law of the universe that like attracts like. Thoughts are also conscious and unconscious. (“POWER TO THE PEOPLE!” a conscious thought)
okay, what I mean is, you are thinking something ALL THE TIME whether you are aware of it or not. So how can something be controlled when you are not even aware of it?
A simple way to monitor thoughts
The simplest way I have come across in monitoring thoughts is to realize what you are “feeling” at any time. Thoughts often times produce emotions in us. The emotions can be deemed negative or positive. Emotions are simply communication from your inner being or soul. Emotions are a physical manifestation of a nonphysical process. Just like visualizations and memories, emotions are not stored or have a compartment in the physical body. Science can locate where they might register in the brain but they can not locate a compartment where any of these phenomenon are housed in the physical body. That’s because they come from the metaphysical realm. In other words emotions are how your body reacts to the input from your inner being or soul.
When you are feeling negative emotions it is your inner beings signal that you are not producing or creating in the moment that which you truly wish to have or be. At that time you are thinking thoughts and producing images that are creating or will be creating scenarios in your reality that you don’t want to have. Your inner being or soul is letting you know that you need to change the direction of your thoughts. When you start to change those thoughts they will attract others like it. Hopefully you will be changing them to more positive thoughts. That is when your inner being is letting you know that you are creating your reality as you wish it to be. In other words, you are moving in the direction that is true for you.
Monitoring all your thoughts is impossible
You can not possibly monitor every thought. But you can start to monitor your moods at any given time. At first this will seem difficult as well. It simply takes patients and practice. Once you realize your mood, trace your thoughts to what may have triggered the mood. If the mood is negative and you have traced the thoughts to something negative simply insert thoughts and visualizations of the opposite nature. You may need something more than just thinking the opposite thoughts to stem the tide of negative feelings and emotions. What you can then do is physically do something you enjoy. Something like listen to your favorite music, take a walk in the park, pet your cat or dog, snuggle with your significant other. In other words do something to change your mood to the positive and then you can change your thoughts.
Trying to monitor, 230,000 thoughts per day is not practical. However, you can monitor your emotions and how you feel at any given time. Let your emotions be your guide to creating your reality. When it feels good, let the thoughts flow in that moment you are operating as your authentic self. When it feels bad, stop and change the mood. It is always a choice. You are a creator, not a victim. Don’t let uncontrolled thoughts hold you hostage to a reality that you do not desire. You are powerful beyond belief.
