It is always interesting to me how narrowly we can define so many spiritual concepts. I guess it shouldn’t surprise me since we really have a myopic view of our existence. Meaning human form is the center of all the universe.

When I consider ideas on spirituality I consider them from two perspectives. One perspective is me as a human being in the physical body. The other perspective is me as energy or consciousness. I believe I get a much better understanding of spiritual principal when I view myself and my existence from the idea of consciousness. The reason being my consciousness exists in states outside my physical body. Yet I know the base Idea of consciousness is to create and be creative. In other words the nature of consciousness is to express itself. My physical body is one expression of my consciousness. My body is energy formed for no other reason than creative expression.

Energy has a dual nature of light and dark. In the physical body we sense this energy though our emotions. Since energy is dual, there is truly only 2 emotions we can physically translate in our world. The light energy is positive. Linguistically we attached the name love to represent this energy with our physical form. The Dark energy is negative or what we call fear. Emotions are only a construct of our human bodies. Within the creative expression we chose emotions as a physical representation of the dual nature of energy. As we started to use language we express different aspects of our emotions with different words. In most minds each word is a different emotion. In reality it is naming one of the two emotions in a different way. There is only light and dark or positive and negative.

For example, fear or dark energy has been call by the names of anger, sadness, depression, anxiety, stress, and doubt just to name a few. For many they are different emotions. In truth there is only one energy being represented. On a universal scale these labels are representations of dark energy.

Love on the other hand has been defined by this lovey dovey  feeling we are supposed to get when we see someone we have these strong amorous feelings for.  Showing love is a hug or some demonstrative representation of this wonderful feeling.  The flower child is showing love when skipping through the woods shouting to the birds and trees, I LOVE YOU MAN! However, society has made this is too narrow of a focus for a representation for the energy of light. Love is energy of light. Therefore, any expression of positive energy is an expression of love.

When you are excited and passionate about a project you are working on, it is an expression of love in the universal sense. When you are feeling joyous about sitting in a book store and reading. It is an expression of love. This is truly the idea expressed as Heaven and ascension. They are states of being not a place. It is the ability to recognize your vibration is higher when you express positive or light energy through your physical being. Not just the kissy face lovey dovey expression of positive light energy or love.

Whenever you are feeling any of the positive expressions like ecstasy, happiness, euphoria, good humor, joy, merriment, peace of mind,  and playfulness just to name a few. You are expressing love within the creative expression of your human body. In this way, you are loving you. It is light energy.

I know we can get information so convoluted and confusing. I like simple. We are energy. We are the creative expression of energy in human form. We transmute or change energy through our form. Energy is dual, light and dark. Express yourself through your passions, your joys every day and you are sending out light and love too and through the universe. Besides, if all love and light is only represented by skipping through the woods and picking flowers, I would be in a whole lot of trouble. That just does not excite me. But writing an article to give a different perspective, I love it! It is my expression of light. What is your expression of light?

Most of us have heard of the concept of karma. For the average person karma is the idea that you will in some way be punished or rewarded for the past life or past deed that you had.

The idea of karma has been somewhat of a contradiction for me because as I have grown spiritually and developed my understanding of metaphysical principles and/or universal laws the idea of punishment and reward did not make any sense in this context. Read More→

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a blog stepping out of the law of attraction box. As I stated previously it is a concept that just gnaws at me. I have asked the universe for some clarification.

The clarification I got was this. The law of attraction is a law that is based only in physical existence. In other words, it is only applicable while in the physical.  As a side note, I don’t like calling a law universal when it only works on one plane of existence. But I can understand why we would do so because of our egocentric perspective while in physical form. Kinda like believing the sun revolved around the earth back in the middle ages.

So many of us have taken on the empowering belief that we can change our reality to what we desire. Because we are human we can get mired in the negativity that surrounds us. We can allow these ideas to set up residence in our minds. Often times we don’t even realize it. we just tune in and notice we are feeling blah or down and sometimes depressed.

If you are one that is on a personal journey through  spiritual growth you will probably come across the struggle with what many term the ego or the ” id”. The ego is often said to be the cause of any amount of suffering within our experience.  Because of the ego we as a species have issues with greed, war and any number of human afflictions. In some spiritual and religious circles even being human is an affliction that we must overcome.

In other words, it would seem, to be human is a curse and to desire anything as a human being with an ego, will ultimately bring us to destruction. Could it really be that being on the physical plane is as bad as it’s been taught? Is being physical and having an ego really a punishment for some transgression on another plane? If we could cut our ego out, would it automatically make us a much more developed entity? If we are less human do we become more spiritual? Could it be that the purpose of the ego within our consciousness is misunderstood?

What is the ego? Read More→
