When is faith like a tool that binds
Posted by: | CommentsThere are times we have to realize for ourselves when we have to grow past constraints that will not allow us to develop a depth of knowledge that will allow evolution of consciousness. We are starting to get so much information about the end of the world and how we are destroying the earth.
We have become dependent on others to tell us how we should view our world. We allow the fear mongers to dictate our moves and actions.
When we put our faith in others to tell us about what our world is and what it will be like we give away our power to create the world that we truly desire. We have been taught we exist simply based on luck or fate. On the other side of the coin we have been taught an all powerful being is pulling all the strings and if we live righteously this being will pull the strings in our favor and for every one that believes the same.

Rope, like faith, can bind or liberate
You create your reality
Let it be known, that no one and no thing has any power in your world except what you give them! You and only you are the creator of your reality! The world you see is a reflection of a much grander and broader reality.
Maybe you don’t want to believe this statement because it is more comfortable to believe that someone or something else will take away the need for you to make the tough decisions in your life. You were given a road map to lead you into a greater understanding of your reality and your power. However, this road map has been used and distorted for the gain of power mongers.
When we look at the evening news we get all kinds of pictures that confirm so many of the worst fears of mankind. We get fed all of the doom and gloom news to a point that many simply bury their heads and hope that something or someone will save us and our planet. We are steadily given data and images of a world that is in peril. When we are given solutions, if any, they are by someone in power that moves in on our fears and plunks down the answer that usually involve giving up some of our rights.
New age concepts are actually very ancient
Jesus Never Taught He Was Part of a Holy Trinity
Posted by: | CommentsWhen I was growing up and considering the religious teachings I was receiving certain concepts always bothered me. These concepts just did not make sense to me even in my early teenage mind. One of the biggest was the concept of a loving God that would send one of his creations to hell for eternity. The love of God was said to be unconditional but then there were conditions that needed to be met in order to get to this magical place called heaven. You know the place I’m talking about; where the streets are paved with gold.

Jesus never taught this concept
As I got older and started to really search for the meaning of my existence and my place in the universe and my relationship to others and God I started to question more concepts and contradictions I was taught. Now mind you I was already considered rebellious simply by questioning the concepts and by implication the Holy word of God. In my culture, to question God is forbidden. It may as well be the eleventh commandment. As matter of fact I can faintly remember it being stenciled in on the Zerox copy of the stone tablets we had at my church.
One of those concepts that I started to question once I really studied the bible was the Holy Trinity. When I read the words of Christ I could never find a place where he stated that he was more than human. He stated many times that he was the son of God, the son of man, I am in the father, the father is in me, I am one with the father, but never stated that he was part of a Holy Trinity.
The reason I even started to question was when reading the scripture Jesus seemed to be stating that he was a man. He was stating that he was no more special than any other human. Even with his great abilities at some point we would do greater things than he. The concept of the trinity says that Jesus is equal with God (The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the same).
Let’s take a look at this concept. Most people accept the concept of the Holy Trinity and do not question it because it is “the word of God” that comes from the bible. However, the trinity is not a biblical concept and never was. It was not conceptualized anywhere in the Old Testament or in the New Testament. Read More→
Do you have the strength to to love and validate yourself?
Posted by: | CommentsThere was a time long ago that individuals charted their own path. We were guided by our own intuition and it was sufficient for making decisions. As society has grown more complex we have become more and more dependent on mass media to tell us how we should interpret our world. We have become dependent on “experts”, specialist, consultants and therapist to tell us when we are ok or not. We allow larger organizations to dictate to us what our beliefs should be on so many areas of our life. It’s as if we don’t have an identity unless we identify with a group.
“87 percent of society forms it’s opinions based on the beliefs and opinions of others. That leaves only 13 percent of society that form their own opinions.” The esoteric agenda documentary
The need to fit in and belong
This tendency for modern society to have to belong or fit in is a major hindrance for the overall growth of society. When I say growth I mean spiritual growth. I don’t mean in a religious sense. Many people will equate religion and spirituality. But they are not the same. Religion does have some spiritual aspects that are a part of it. The ideals of religion are of the highest order. But the practice of it has been a major detriment to society because of the need to conform to certain religious doctrines and ideals. This need to have people conform to a certain belief or thoughts produces an attitude that others that do not fit the ideals must be changed. Those that do not fit certain ideals are therefore on the wrong side. As human beings we can become so passionate and vehement about our beliefs that we loose site of the other person or group. There have been millions that have died in the name of religious Gods. They have died in wars because they were not on the side of the “righteous.”
Spirituality on the other hand does acknowledge certain aspects that religion does. I see many people today that call themselves atheist simply because they no longer identify with many contradictory aspects of organized religion. It’s not that they do not believe in a “God”, just not the “God” of organized religious groups. Like many of us and religions they have a spiritual belief that there is something more to life and something greater than themselves. But they can not stomach organized religion. This was my belief for sometime many years ago. I have sense made some realizations that I feel allow me the impetus and room to develop along a spiritual path and allow for the imperfect being that I am. I like to say that I am perfectly human. An oxymoron if there ever was one because there is nothing perfect about me or us as the human race. Read More→
Your point of power is in this moment
Posted by: | CommentsHow many of us have heard the pundits and gurus say “you must live in the now!” I used to read that or hear it and say to myself, can I live any other freakin’ time? I just did not quite understand what it meant and quite frankly it was the same as so much of the spiritual double speak that can be so vague and confusing.
Until I started to study myself from a metaphysical perspective there were many spiritual concepts that were confusing to me. This was because so many spiritual concepts can be applied to physical life but they really transcend physical reality to our greater existence as a soul. But trying to understand the broader concepts is like trying to understand a story with only part of the information available to you. We can get locked in on the physical because it is what’s “real.”
Time is measured by a clock not you
Physical reality is really analogous to the clothing that covers a much deeper and broader existence. The concept of time is a physical camouflage that we get locked in on even with evidence to the contrary. You see time is actually relative to all of us. We can sense true time but we don’t usually realize what is happening. For example. If you are enjoying your self at an event mentally time just seems to “fly” by. you “feel” like it has been 30 minutes pass by but when you look at your watch it has been 2 hours. When you are in a place that you are bored and want to leave but can’t that same 30 minutes can “feel” like 2 hours. You keep looking at your watch and the hands seem to stand still! In actuality this is how your soul or inner being senses what we call time. It is always relative to our “feelings.” The only thing that makes us think it is “real” is the clock or watch that we use to measure time.
In our broader existence there is no such thing as past or future. Our broader being lives in the eternal moment of now. We create our physical futures based on how we handle the information we receive in the eternal moment of now.
On a practical level one of the ways to look at the eternal moment of now is to realize that in that moment everything is ok. In other words the past has already occurred and whatever you believe will happen in the future has not gotten here so just relax in that moment.
Stress is being fixated on something that is in the past or the future
We usually get stressed when we think and worry about past and future events. We bring those feelings and anxieties into that moment. But, when you are able to stop in that moment and be grateful a sense of calm will come over you. Don’t think about the past, don’t worry about the future because at that moment you are well. Allow yourself to be ok for that moment.
When you do consciously start to project into the future, do so purposefully. Imagine what you want it to be like when you have reached that projected point. Feel what it will be like. Expect it will be that way and have faith that it will come to pass. In that moment you have the power to create your reality. In the now is your present point of power. Being able to retreat to the now is what the pundits meant. It is calming. Now I understand.
