What is the difference between meditation and visualization?
Posted by: | CommentsMany people see these processes of visualization and meditation as the same thing. How often will we go sit in a quiet place and meditate? But do we really do what meditation is intended for? Visualization is an active process. It is something we constantly do whether we are aware of it or not.
I want to talk about the differences in visualization and meditation and how they both can be an aid in helping us to manifest the lives that we so richly desire and deserve.
Think of our minds as a body of water
I want to start of with an analogy to explain the difference and benefits of meditation and visualization. We can think of our thoughts as a body of water.
Normally our thoughts are the equivalent of a raging out of control White Water River. The kind of river that you would go on when you want to have the adventure of being tossed around too and fro. The river just goes where it wishes and without direction or intent.
When we use visualization it is like a stream that can be directed. When we are a conscious creator we can cause it to flow in the direction of our intent. In other words we can consciously visualize the life or situations that we intend or desire to have. It is in a much more controlled state than the White Water River or normal operating mind.
When we meditate our minds are the equivalent of a cool mountain lake. The surface is so still and serene it reflects the snow capped mountains like a mirror. It is undisturbed.
Our desires can be thought of like a pebble
Let’s think of our desires as being a rounded pebble. The pebble is what we toss out to the universe when we desire a certain thing in our lives. It is our message to the universe.
We have desires and we want the universe to help us manifest them. However, most days we toss that pebble of a desire into the white water river. It simply gets lost in all the churning and commotion of the water (thought). there are so many conflicting directions that the water (thought) is going the universe does not have time to set things in motion or what we do set in motion is canceled out be conflicting thoughts. The fundamentals of conscious creation
Posted by: | CommentsToday I would like to go under the hood of reality creation. We get a lot of information these days on creating what we desire. We get a lot of directions, ideas, theories and all kinds of different information on creating. I know sometimes it can seem contradictory. I know there are many people like me that enjoy learning and understanding what makes things work. Don’t just tell me what to do. Tell me why it works, how its done and when can it be completed and how can it be repeated. For me I like to know the details because it allows me the ability to build my own concepts from the foundation that I was taught. I enjoy the empowerment of knowing what I can do for myself. That is what my blog is ultimately about. Giving people the information to be empowered themselves and not at the mercy of others that may want to control and be in power. For many others to be told how to do something and follow instructions is just fine for them. That is perfectly ok. To each his own. In the end your experience is the most relevant experience in the universe and no one has to validate it except you.
How do most of us create?
I titled the article the fundamental of conscious creation for are specific reason. The key word is CONSCIOUS. Understand that at any given time you are creating. Whether you understand the laws of the universe or not you are creating. For most people creating reality is a totally unconscious endeavor. They are at the mercy of unrecognized beliefs, a runaway imagination and uncontrolled emotions. These are all of the components of unconscious creating of physical reality. This is how the vast majority of us exist in our reality. It is something that happens to us rather than by us.
Fundamentally be aware the physical reality you know and are so attuned to is inside a metaphysical wrapping so to speak. On the most basic level of existence everything is energy. all of the laws of the universe operate from a metaphysical aspect. In other words all the laws of the universe operate on levels beyond the physical. When you understand this aspect of existence you are on the ground floor of building and creating all that you desire in the physical. These principles have been taught for thousands of years under the guise of religion in many instances.
What are the laws of the universe about?
The laws of the universe are about us working with the base component of existence (which is energy) from a metaphysical standpoint to bring about physical changes that we desire. Understand there are other metaphysical realities that exist. Physical reality is a component of the existence of our true being. It is not the ultimate existence. Since we are energy at the base level of our physical being and energy can only change states and not be destroyed, then how can our physical body be all there is to existence? We had to come into existence from somewhere from an energy source. When the body dies that energy can only change states. Even parts of science is starting to finally realize that physical reality can not explain all of existence.
There is more to LOA than positive thinking
Now here is where we understand the fundamentals of being a conscious creator. Many of the people that watch the secret and take off on the law of attraction will say that you have to think positively in order to attract the world that you desire. Thinking positively is a start but It’s a little bit more than that. In order to manifest your desires you have to BELIEVE positively. What is the difference? A person can think positive thoughts and never manifest them. If they truly believe something different the belief is what will manifest. Read More→
Simple techniques to heal your body
Posted by: | Comments
I recently wrote and article on the ability you have to heal yourself. What I would like to do today is to give a couple of simple techniques that anyone can use to facilitate healing in your body. First I want to make it explicitly clear that in no way does anyone stop medical treatments or taking medicines that have been prescribed by your doctors. Those treatment can and have been beneficial to many. The techniques I will talk about are simple and can be used in conjunction with any conventional medical treatment that you may be involved with.
Building a foundation
First let’s build a little bit of a foundation of understanding. What I mean is that we first need to understand what we are in order to know why these methods do work. There have been countless confirmations of our bodies healing itself. There is a youtube video I attached to my article “Jesus did not heal the sick” showing on camera a cancer patient healing a tumor in the office of her doctors! I know the title of that article may be a little inflammatory to some but it was not to defame Jesus. The article is about a great teacher that has been misunderstood. That teacher Jesus demonstrated back then the power that belief has in our reality.
What we are is the same as any living or non-living thing is the universe. It is a scientific fact that the base component of all physical matter is energy. An atom, a rock, a plant, a cell and a human are all made of the same “stuff.” “Stuff” is the simplification of all the confusing scientific vocabulary. I don’t know about you but I like simple. That which I call “stuff” is energy. Our bodies every cell and organ in it is composed of energy. I have been told that we have enough energy in our bodies to power a large city for a week. I can neither confirm nor deny this. I don’t believe it has ever been attempted and I don’t want to be the first to have it confirmed.
This is the physical part of our bodies. Read More→
Can we still speak to God personally?
Posted by: | Comments
When I was young I would sit in church and listen to the sermon that the preacher had on that Sunday. Many of the sermons spoke on how God spoke to the person in the bible. It was always so profound! I remember thinking, why did God stop speaking to people? He seemed to speak to people all the time in the bible days. In Genesis 6:13, Genesis 8:15, Genesis 9:12 God spoke to Noah. In Genesis 17:3, 17:9, 17:15, 17:18 God spoke to Abram (Abraham).
I could write down countless verses that start with “God said” in the bible. God was so vocal in biblical times but in my young mind at the time he was silent. There were no new profound revelations coming forth from anyone. Just the same ole tired ones that the boring preacher spoke on Sunday after Sunday from a bunch of dead people in the bible. Did God stop talking, or did we stop listening? Are there other new and profound revelations that come to us from God? How did the people of the bible times get God to speak to them? These were questions of my young mind that I have now come to terms with. God does still speak to us. We forgot how to listen. There are new revelations coming forth at all times. We simply have to open up and listen.
Thinking outside of the box
My way of thinking is somewhat outside the box. I don’t apologize for it, I think it is my gift. I believe that the people of biblical times accepted certain things then that we are just now coming back around to in modern society. Back in biblical times it was not unusual for anyone to get messages from God. They had an expectation that they could connect to God. How did they connect? The same way that you and I do it today, through prayer and meditation. What we forgot was that we are always connected. That is what a lot of the new age literature is about today. Jesus said God gave him his teachings. Jesus was attempting to teach the people of his day how to reconnect to All-That-Is. The people of his day were so into ritualized religion that they had forgotten how to connect to All-That-Is.
In John 4:19-21 Jesus would tell the Samaritan woman that “a time will come when you will worship the father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem…”
Jesus in his way was telling the woman that to worship God had nothing to do with the physical location you were in.
In John 14:20 Jesus says “on that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”
He was saying that we all are connected to ALL-That-Is. Jesus intended for us to get our information concerning the world beyond the physical by going inside of ourselves to get our get our personal truths. No preacher or teacher can give you your truth. In ancient Kemetic (Egyptian) traditions this was the expectation of their teachings. There was no need for an intermediary between man and God. Any one could talk directly with God and learn their personal truths.
When you believe that you have to get the word of God from anyone other than yourself then you are dependent on that person or system for your beliefs. Ultimately if you do not believe as they do then you are ostracized.
As natural as breathing
Earlier I mentioned being outside the box in my thinking. So here it goes. What ways does God talk to us today? I say he does so in the same exact ways that he did in biblical times, we just call it by different names now and the people are not looked up as deities or saints. I believe each and every human being has these same abilities and that is the ability to “Channel.” Doh! Yes, we have named it channeling today. The truth it takes no special skills to channel. It is as natural to us as breathing.
Unfortunately most people view channeling as some mystical experience. When in reality it is simply the ability to relax and allow information to flow from your higher self (which is connected to source) to your physical self. You do not have to be in trance or hypnotized uttering some mumbo jumbo, clanging bells on your finger tips or any of the stereotypical non sense that people have subscribed as channeling.
Believe it or not the only difference between you and a medium that channels is that they consciously know what they are doing and you do not. Channeling is simply a flow of information from your higher self. This is what was done in the biblical times. They simply allowed the information to flow. If you are someone that thinks a lot then you channel. Have you ever been talking to a friend, say something profound and then not be able to repeat what you said an hour later? Have you ever just put together a concept and the information just flowed to you without much thought? It could have been while you were at work when working on a project. It could have been while you were consoling a friend or loved one. We have all had moments when we have said things or thought them and wonder how we came up with such a beautiful succinct flowing thought. Yes you channel. It is our human heritage. We are connected to source. We do not need a preacher or teacher to tell us what to think. However, they can guide us.
the thing you will realize about being connected to All-That-is, everyday and every minute of the day you can tune in and have your questions answered. All you have to do is ask.
Jesus taught, Mark 7:7, “ ask and it is given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.”
What is an oracle
His lessons were simple but religion and its constrictions and contradictions have made understanding our true nature difficult. Religion has actually banned particular forms of connecting to source that were typical in the bible like consulting of oracles. Even the word oracle has a negative connotation in most Judeo-Christian circles.
An Oracle is defined as a person who serves as a medium through which a spiritual agency gives counsel; Objects casted as lots to serve the medium for communicating with spiritual agencies for guidance, or the shrine where such counsel is given.
Today things like tarot cards, runes and I’Ching have a negative connotation attached to them. It is hypocritical that the church would set this precedence when it was a biblical tradition to use these type things. Tarot cards are a relatively modern form of oracles, but using bones, leaves, rocks and many other forms of divination go back thousands of years before Christianity. Why would the church not want you to be able to speak directly with God if consulting an oracle would be an aid?
Biblical traditions that are considered negative today
In the bible lots were cast in these scriptures Lev 16:8 says, He is to cast lots for the two goats-one for the lord and the other for the scapegoat. The land of Canaan was divided by lots Num 26:55 Be sure that the land is distributed by lots. Even Jesus himself could not escape this tradition, Matthew 27:35 when they crucified him they divided up his clothes casting lots. What was used it does not say, but lots were cast in many more instances in the bible. It was a tradition.
All-that-is is still in the business of conversing directly with you. It is not a right of the religious. It is a right of every living human being. Tarot cards and runes, I’Ching can be an aid in connecting to All-that-is. Understand there are no accidents, coincidence or luck when you ask the question you will get an answer. Using an oracle is a simple way to get your answers from the divine.
Does God no longer talk to modern man or do we just not listen? Do we really need someone to tell us how we should connect to God? Are you superstitious about using oracles such as tarot cards, runes and I’Ching? If so why do you think that is?
