How to interpret dreams 101

Posted by: Reginald Martin | Comments (5)

Dreams are often times a mystery.  They can often times be mysterious and frightening.  Hollywood movies really make us afraid of our dreams in recent years with movies like Nightmare on Elm Street and very recently, the movie Inception.

These movies portrait sleeping and dreaming as something to fear.  This is a reason that we really have to look at our filters or perception of our reality. Reality is perception. Everyone views there reality from what they feel it is. If we decide to filter our reality from a perspective of our fears we will only draw to ourselves the information that confirms that reality. There are just as many movies that will confirm positive aspects of our existence, What Dreams May Come, is a movie that comes to mind. However, we will many times blow it off. Sometimes the best way to hide information is in plain sight. Hollywood is no exception.

What is it "like"?

I am going to give you a primer on how to interpret you own dreams. I will say that all dreams are not the same. Without me going too deep into the esoteric, understand that when we dream we go into different levels of our consciousness. Some people are “gifted” in that they can remember and recall some of the deepest level of these dreams. An analogy I like to use to differentiate these abilities is an Olympic athlete and the average Joe or Jane. For example, if we have normal use of our body we can all run but we cannot run as fast or as far as an Olympian. An Olympian is specially trained and gifted in what they do. As far as dreaming goes, we all dream. Some people will say they don’t dream but if they did not they would not exist. Again esoterica. However, we cannot all remember our dreams. And for those that do it is at differing levels of consciousness. What I will do is give the basics of interpreting dreams.

Dream basics:

It is information from you the soul to you in the physical.Everything and everyone in the dream is an aspect of you. Esoterically speaking there is No Thing that exists outside of you (consciousness).

Dreaming is a symbolic language from your soul.

Like any language it has a grammar. Look at the context of the dream. In other words, what is happening in the dream?Your dream symbols are unique to your experience. There are universal symbols however; a dream dictionary is not always a good idea. For example, a dog for one person may bring up wonderful memories. However, for another that is afraid of dogs and dreams about them may bring a feeling of dread and fear. A dream dictionary will have a generic meaning not dependent on the experience of the person.

Interpretation 101

To interpret a dream you have to think from the perspective of your soul. It is not in the physical world therefore the symbols it will give you are representative of  what something is “like” in your physical world to the abilities of the soul outside the physical world or its perception of an aspect of your physical world.

For example, your physical body from the perspective of your soul is how it(your soul) moves around in the physical world. In a dream this function can be represented by a car. When you are dreaming you are driving a car it is you the soul inside your physical body. Your body is “like” a car from the perspective of your soul.

If in the dream you are riding in the car and someone else is driving, the context of this scenario means you are not feeling in control of the situation. The person driving is another aspect of your personality.

To understand the symbols simply interpret the function of the object or what it is “like” in your physical life from the perspective of the soul and look at that context of what is happening in the dream.

Dream Grammar

  1. All languages have a grammar. So do dreams. Dreams are symbolic. Before man had language we communicated with drawings. Even the drawings had syntax so others could understand the information. Dreams are no different. In dreams you often want to know what syntax or how the symbol is used because it gives more meaning to the dream. Using the example of the car above. If it is an old car you are driving around in within your dream that may mean it is how your body felt in the past.  Or how you viewed something in the past. The context is what you will have to figure out.

Old car equals a past body. Maybe you were overweight in the past and did not feel you had control over your life, or an aspect of your life, hence someone else driving and you riding in the old car. If it is a present model car it is something happening in the present for you. If it is a new car it may be a new feeling or new way of being.

One of the scariest things most people have happen in a dream is for someone to die. This is because most of us see death as the end of us or our loved ones. But remember you have to see a dream from the perspective of your soul. The soul knows that death is simply a transition from one form to another.

Logically and scientifically speaking everything in the universe is energy. The law of conservation says that energy cannot be lost or destroyed, it can only change form. The soul understands that it exists forever. Your physical body is simply a form of energy. When it or someone dies in a dream it means you or an aspect of you have changed into something else. Death is not the end, it is a transition in dreams.

More on Syntax and Grammar

“like” = from the perspective of your soul

Anything “like” Death = transition or change

Anything “like” new or young, such as a baby = new and fresh; like a new car, a new house, a new coat.  You must remember the function of the symbol. For example a new born may be a new idea, or a new you. It is being birthed! “like” new.

A computer is “like” = Your physical mind, which connects you to a collective consciousness (“like” the internet)

House or building = The totality of your conscious mind, an old house or building would be grammatically past tense. old = “like” in the past.

A room in a house = (“like”) an aspect or part of your physical conscious mind, an old room would be grammatically past tense.

Outside =(“like”) being in collective mass consciousness

In space amongst the stars = (“like”) Universal or God consciousness

Light = something that is known, (“like”) it is illuminated or you can see it, a room that has a light on would be something your are consciously aware of.

Dark = something that is (“like”) hidden or unknown you can’t see it, a dark room would be something you are consciously unaware of.

Conclusion

I hope this can help you with a starting point on interpreting your dreams. They are a wealth of knowledge for you. Your dreams should not be feared. Even a nightmare is a dream that is ramped up to get your attention. It is the way your soul makes you pay attention to a message that you desperately need to know in the physical.

Once you start to analyze your dreams will not have need to fear them anymore. You will realize after a while that many of your dreams are the same message. It is a lesson that you need to learn and understand about yourself. You don’t need a dream dictionary. You will KNOW when you have interpreted the symbol for yourself. You will feel it intuitively. Trust what you feel. Know that you are a soul having a human experience.

There are times we have to realize for ourselves when we have to grow past constraints that will not allow us to develop a depth of knowledge that will allow evolution of consciousness. We are starting to get so much information about the end of the world and how we are destroying the earth.

We have become dependent on others to tell us how we should view our world.  We allow the fear mongers to dictate our moves and actions.

When we put our faith in others to tell us about what our world is and what it will be like we give away our power to create the world that we truly desire. We have been taught we exist simply based on luck or fate. On the other side of the coin we have been taught an all powerful being is pulling all the strings and if we live righteously this being will pull the strings in our favor and for every one that believes the same.

Rope, like faith, can bind or liberate

Rope, like faith, can bind or liberate

You create your reality

Let it be known, that no one and no thing has any power in your world except what you give them! You and only you are the creator of your reality! The world you see is a reflection of a much grander and broader reality.

Maybe you don’t want to believe this statement because it is more comfortable to believe that someone or something else will take away the need for you to make the tough decisions in your life. You were given a road map to lead you into a greater understanding of your reality and your power. However, this road map has been used and distorted for the gain of power mongers.

When we look at the evening news we get all kinds of pictures that confirm so many of the worst fears of mankind. We get fed all of the doom and gloom news to a point that many simply bury their heads and hope that something or someone will save us and our planet. We are steadily given data and images of a world that is in peril. When we are given solutions, if any, they are by someone in power that moves in on our fears and plunks down the answer that usually involve giving up some of our rights.

New age concepts are actually very ancient

When I was growing up and considering the religious teachings I was receiving certain concepts always bothered me.  These concepts just did not make sense to me even in my early teenage mind. One of the biggest was the concept of a loving God that would send one of his creations to hell for eternity. The love of God was said to be unconditional but then there were conditions that needed to be met in order to get to this magical place called heaven. You know the place I’m talking about; where the streets are paved with gold.

Jesus never taught that he was part of a Holy Trinity

Jesus never taught this concept

As I got older and started to really search for the meaning of my existence and my place in the universe and my relationship to others and God I started to question more concepts and contradictions I was taught. Now mind you I was already considered rebellious simply by questioning the concepts and by implication the Holy word of God. In my culture, to question God is forbidden. It may as well be the eleventh commandment.  As matter of fact I can faintly remember it being stenciled in on the Zerox copy of the stone tablets we had at my church.

One of those concepts that I started to question once I really studied the bible was the Holy Trinity. When I read the words of Christ I could never find a place where he stated that he was more than human. He stated many times that he was the son of God, the son of man, I am in the father, the father is in me, I am one with the father, but never stated that he was part of a Holy Trinity.

The reason I even started to question was when reading the scripture Jesus seemed to be stating that he was a man. He was stating that he was no more special than any other human. Even with his great abilities at some point we would do greater things than he. The concept of the trinity says that Jesus is equal with God (The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the same).

Let’s take a look at this concept. Most people accept the concept of the Holy Trinity and do not question it because it is “the word of God” that comes from the bible. However, the trinity is not a biblical concept and never was. It was not conceptualized anywhere in the Old Testament or in the New Testament. Read More→

Heaven is not a destination

Posted by: Reginald Martin | Comments (4)

It has been a while sense I have written on my blog. When I started my blog I had just started a chapter in my life that was one ripe with lessons. It was the start of one of the most difficult times in my life. Many of my articles are truly about my journey. I know that there are others that are going through many of the same challenges as I do have been through. My gift to share with the world is my ability to understand complex information and simplify it in plain everyday language and experience.

Before this chapter in my life started I had read and studied many things on metaphysics. I had intellectualized so much information. Much of it was complex or so far removed from my previous beliefs and understanding of my life and world that it took a great leap of faith to believe it.

For me it is important that I get information from different sources. My faith can be strengthened when two or more unrelated sources confirm a concept that I have intellectualized. I am a skeptic by nature. I can say that walking by faith has not always been a strength of mine. However, coming through this difficult period in my life has taught me many lessons and confirmed so much information that I had only intellectualized before. I am still learning. I am still intellectualizing much. But even with intellectualizing I have learned how to allow my higher self to come through and accept what I KNOW.fear keeps you trapped

Realizations

I have realized that my brain cannot and will not ever understand many of the concepts and experiences of my soul. When a person understands or KNOWS a concept without the ability to explain it is when they are in touch with their higher self. It is your soul that you are allowing to come through. I have learned to accept this KNOWING in that moment. I can later try in understand it. When I understand it I can then try and explain it. Often times I can start to understand it when someone asks me a question. Through teaching them I can understand it intellectually.

Through the most difficult trials in my life, this is what I now KNOW. God’s love is real and I cannot fail or fall. I have the power to create my world as I wish. The only limitation is ME. I now truly understand what the Christ meant when he stated in

John 14:11 “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; Or at least believe in the evidence of the miracles themselves.”

I now KNOW that God is in me. I KNOW that God permeates all of creation and that I am a part of that creation. Through the God that is in me, as he was in the Christ, I was able to perform and create miracles in my life. I have learned that the love of God and fear cannot exist in the same place. When I allow fear to enter into my being, I am forgetting that the “Father” loves me and with that love in me I cannot fail or falter. This I KNOW and have witnessed through the “evidence of the miracles themselves!”

Consciousness is not static or easily defined Read More→

Are you a person that is starting to come to the belief that you are the creator of your reality? Have you heard over and over that your thoughts are creating the reality that you have now? Do you get to the point that you don’t want to think because you fear thinking the “wrong” thing? Do you think something and then say to yourself, oh no I want that thought back because I don’t want it to manifest? Maybe you wish thoughts could be like a long spaghetti noodle that you could just slurp back up when gets out. I am visualizing a plate of spaghetti and you leaning over it slurping the noodles. Well have no fear, there is a way for you to monitor your thoughts. I will give you a very simple technique that you can use to know your Pervading thoughts at any time and change them if you wish.marriage-thoughts

How many thoughts per day?

Let’s pretend you have four thoughts thoughts every second and you sleep 8 hours each night. That equates to 240 thoughts per minute, 14,400 thoughts per hour and 230,000 thoughts per day! The truth of the matter is that it is probably more than that. You think in pictures, words, feelings, sounds and they can all come together to produce memories of something that you think might happen in the future and any combination of the past, present and future. It can be mind boggling to believe that you can “control” thoughts at any time.

Thoughts operate based on universal laws as do anything else. Believe it or not thoughts are attracted to each other. (Thinking about one thoughts pickup line to another, “come here often?”) They have there own vibrations and therefore will attract others that vibrate in harmony with them. It is the law of the universe that like attracts like. Thoughts are also conscious and unconscious. (“POWER TO THE PEOPLE!” a conscious thought) okay, what I mean is, you are thinking something ALL THE TIME whether you are aware of it or not. So how can something be controlled when you are not even aware of it? Read More→
