Are you a person that is starting to come to the belief that you are the creator of your reality? Have you heard over and over that your thoughts are creating the reality that you have now? Do you get to the point that you don’t want to think because you fear thinking the “wrong” thing? Do you think something and then say to yourself, oh no I want that thought back because I don’t want it to manifest? Maybe you wish thoughts could be like a long spaghetti noodle that you could just slurp back up when gets out. I am visualizing a plate of spaghetti and you leaning over it slurping the noodles. Well have no fear, there is a way for you to monitor your thoughts. I will give you a very simple technique that you can use to know your Pervading thoughts at any time and change them if you wish.marriage-thoughts

How many thoughts per day?

Let’s pretend you have four thoughts thoughts every second and you sleep 8 hours each night. That equates to 240 thoughts per minute, 14,400 thoughts per hour and 230,000 thoughts per day! The truth of the matter is that it is probably more than that. You think in pictures, words, feelings, sounds and they can all come together to produce memories of something that you think might happen in the future and any combination of the past, present and future. It can be mind boggling to believe that you can “control” thoughts at any time.

Thoughts operate based on universal laws as do anything else. Believe it or not thoughts are attracted to each other. (Thinking about one thoughts pickup line to another, “come here often?”) They have there own vibrations and therefore will attract others that vibrate in harmony with them. It is the law of the universe that like attracts like. Thoughts are also conscious and unconscious. (“POWER TO THE PEOPLE!” a conscious thought) okay, what I mean is, you are thinking something ALL THE TIME whether you are aware of it or not. So how can something be controlled when you are not even aware of it? Read More→

There was a time long ago that individuals charted their own path. We were guided by our own intuition and it was sufficient for making decisions. As society has grown more complex we have become more and more dependent on mass media to tell us how we should interpret our world. We have become dependent on “experts”, specialist, consultants and therapist to tell us when we are ok or not. We allow larger organizations to dictate to us what our beliefs should be on so many areas of our life. It’s as if we don’t have an identity unless we identify with a group.

“87 percent of society forms it’s opinions based on the beliefs and opinions of others. That leaves only 13 percent of society that form their own opinions.” The esoteric agenda documentary

The need to fit in and belong

This tendency for modern society to have to belong or fit in is a major hindrance for the overall growth of society.  When I say growth I mean spiritual growth. I don’t mean in a religious sense. Many people will equate religion and spirituality. But they are not the same. Religion does have some spiritual aspects that are a part of it. The ideals of religion are of the highest order. But the practice of it has been a major detriment to society because of the need to conform to certain religious doctrines and ideals. This need to have people conform to a certain belief or thoughts produces an attitude that others that do not fit the ideals must be changed. Those that do not fit certain ideals are therefore on the wrong side. As human beings we can become so passionate and vehement about our beliefs that we loose site of the other person or group. There have been millions that have died in the name of religious Gods. They have died in wars because they were not on the side of the “righteous.”Alone in a Crowd

Spirituality on the other hand does acknowledge certain aspects that religion does. I see many people today that call themselves atheist simply because they no longer identify with many contradictory aspects of organized religion. It’s not that they do not believe in a “God”, just not the “God” of organized religious groups. Like many of us and religions they have a spiritual belief that there is something more to life and something greater than themselves. But they can not stomach organized religion. This was my belief for sometime many years ago. I have sense made some realizations that I feel allow me the impetus and room to develop along a spiritual path and allow for the imperfect being that I am. I like to say that I am perfectly human. An oxymoron if there ever was one because there is nothing perfect about me or us as the human race. Read More→

How many of us have heard the pundits and gurus say “you must live in the now!” I used to read that or hear it and say to myself, can I live any other freakin’ time? I just did not quite understand what it meant and quite frankly it was the same as so much of the spiritual double speak that can be so vague and confusing.

Until I started to study myself from a metaphysical perspective there were many spiritual concepts that were confusing to me. This was because so many spiritual concepts can be applied to physical life but they really transcend physical reality to our greater existence as a soul. But trying to understand the broader concepts is like trying to understand a story with only part of the information available to you. We can get locked in on the physical because it is what’s “real.”dali-clock-500x500

Time is measured by a clock not you

Physical reality is really analogous to the clothing that covers a much deeper and broader existence. The concept of time is a physical camouflage that we get locked in on even with evidence to the contrary. You see time is actually relative to all of us. We can sense true time but we don’t usually realize what is happening. For example. If you are enjoying your self at an event mentally time just seems to “fly” by. you “feel” like it has been 30 minutes pass by but when you look at your watch it has been 2 hours. When you are in a place that you are bored and want to leave but can’t that same 30 minutes can “feel” like 2 hours. You keep looking at your watch and the hands seem to stand still! In actuality this is how your soul or inner being senses what we call time. It is always relative to our “feelings.” The only thing that makes us think it is “real” is the clock or watch that we use to measure time.

In our broader existence there is no such thing as past or future. Our broader being lives in the eternal moment of now. We create our physical futures based on how we handle the information we receive in the eternal moment of now.

On a practical level one of the ways to look at the eternal moment of now is to realize that in that moment everything is ok. In other words the past has already occurred and whatever you believe will happen in the future has not gotten here so just relax in that moment.

Stress is being fixated on something that is in the past or the future

We usually get stressed when we think and worry about past and future events. We bring those feelings and anxieties into that moment. But, when you are able to stop in that moment and be grateful a sense of calm will come over you. Don’t think about the past, don’t worry about the future because at that moment you are well. Allow yourself to be ok for that moment.

When you do consciously start to project into the future, do so purposefully. Imagine what you want it to be like when you have reached that projected point. Feel what it will be like. Expect it will be that way and have faith that it will come to pass. In that moment you have the power to create your reality. In the now is your present point of power. Being able to retreat to the now is what the pundits meant. It is calming. Now I understand.

Why is it that in the world of religion and spirituality certain subjects are seen as negative even when they bring such passion out in us? It is always a constant judgment of what is good and evil. Many times the lines are so blurred we can’t know where one begins and the other ends. We decide on arbitrary divisions that a person or an organization in power will set for the masses. The problem is that the messages can be so contradictory or against human nature that we get totally confused or just turn off our faculties of reasoning. One of these polarizing concepts is sex. Sex can be so wonderful but yet have so many negative connotations attached to it in religious circles.

Have you ever considered what the root cause of a type of thinking that would make something as good as sex, so bad? So bad that we are supposed to feel guilty or shameful for just thinking about it and God forbid if we enjoy it.  I like getting to the root of things because it really tends to shed light on contradictions. Religious doctrines are a contradiction because desiring sex is as natural a breathing and yet in many religious and spiritual circles you should abstain from it for any number of reasons. Sometimes society can get so caught up in “rational thought” that is loses sight of common sense. In religious circles I put sex in this category. I can imagine the first religious person that had sex, looks at his woman and says, “OMG baby! This is so good we can’t let people get hooked on it. we have got to make some rules against it! (whispering) Do you think they know about this?  sex_682_537202a

Guilt is a strong control

At the base of this type of thought is the idea that to be physical in form is somehow a curse. And to enjoy carnal pleasure is automatically a road to spiritual ruin. In other words we are born sinners and/or to be attached to any physical desires or pleasure means that you will never attain a higher level of spirituality. It all boils down to the idea that physical existence is a set back for spiritual attainment and enlightenment. Physical desires are bad unless they are the “righteous” type of desires. It is ok to have a desire for world peace, but it is a detriment to spiritual growth to have a sexual desire. It’s a contradiction because they are both desires but one is perceived as noble and the other is seen as a weakness of the flesh. One is attached to the terrible physical body and the other is simply a high minded ideal. One is supposed to make you feel guilty the other more spiritual. Who decided this? :|

Allow me to submit an idea. I have repeated this idea in many of my articles. The idea is simply this; we are a soul having a human experience. We don’t have a soul, we ARE a soul.

Recently I have been making my way around different forums. Personally I enjoy good discussion and debate. I believe that a good constructive discussion can lead to ideas being tested and consciousness expanding. As spiritual beings in human form we are incarnated on earth to lean lesson and expand our consciousness. The lesson that we learn we take with us for eternity. We all can get so passionate about our beliefs. Name any religion or body of believers such as atheist or metaphysicians and you will get a group of people that will literally fight to the death to preserve their idea of “truth.” That word truth spawns so many fights and self righteous rants. So many believe that the truth is singular and constant. In other words a “truth” is a truth for everyone and should be seen and acted on as such. However, I would like to question this  widely held belief. I would like to question it on some very simple concepts that can be extrapolated to a much broader scale.

Where did relgion get its ideas?

There is an ancient philosophy from Egypt (then called Kemit) called Hermetic Philosophy. It predates all religions. From this land we have had words and concepts passed down to us today. One word in particular still has the name of the originators of the science, which is called Kemistry or Chemistry. The word alchemy was derived from practices developed in ancient Kemit. Hermetic philosophy was so named after a man in Kemit that the Greeks named Hermes or the messenger God. Read More→
